Basic Fire Skills Training

Starting from ground up the Iraq Fire Services, in 2007 was faced with the building of a professional fire service while the country was facing a full blown insurgency and a level of violence that very few fire services worldwide would face ever. The challenges faced were monumental: lack of equipment, equipment reviewed was donated and in many cases in various stages of mission capable and no central training center or professional standard.  To the credit and determination of Iraq Fire Services they are succeeding and building towards the future under very difficult conditions.

Strategic Response Initiatives, LLC, was awarded an ongoing contract with a major insurance firm  to provide training and equip a New York City Emergency Response Team in Hazardous Material Operations and Mass Decontamination. SRI is pending an award of contract to develop a needs assessment for the ERT program as well as the possible stand up of such teams that could respond to over 200 company world-wide sites.

Strategic Response Initiatives, LLC, was awarded a one year contract to design and train Customs and Border Protection Agents from various sections of the country in Del Rio Texas. SRI was selected because of its expert training development staff, its ability to recruit subject matter experts in a wide variety of fields, its understanding of training development and its innovative approach in delivering training where it is needed. The contract required SRI to develop, present in a classroom and field environment Accident Reconstruction basic, Recon and Advance Courses. As part of the contract SRI was also contracted to provide expert witness testimony in Federal Court.

The Guardian Installation Protection Program

The Guardian Installation Protection Program (IPP) is managed by the Joint Project Manager Guardian (JPMG) for the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD). Working under JPMG, SAIC is the Guardian IPP Lead Systems Integrator (LSI). Along with its teaming partners, Johnson Controls, Inc. of Cape Canaveral, Florida and Midwest Research Institute (MRI) of Kansas City, Missouri, SAIC will provide an integrated chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protection capability at 200 Department of Defense installations and facilities worldwide.

Training and Equipment for Hazardous Materials Technicians
Baghdad Hazardous Material Response Unit (Hazardous Material Technicians Course)

Strategic Response Initiatives, LLC, was awarded the contract to train and equip the first Baghdad, Iraq Fire Department Hazardous Material Team composed of 35 Sunni and Shiite firefighters as Hazardous Materials Technicians. In doing so SRI was responsible for training the first joint Sunni/Shiite HAZMAT team and provided the first operational course in Baghdad's brand new fire academy.

Burn Trainer
SRI LLC - Burn Trainer - Goodfellow AFB, Texas

Strategic Response Initiatives, LLC, was awarded a 13 month contract, valued at $2,300,000.00 to manage the installation of an aircraft burn trainer for Goodfellow AFB Texas, Fire Training Center Customs. The contract required SRI to conduct the project management for the team selected (Thermo-Fisher, Kidde Fire, and SRI) for the design, delivery and installation of all required systems as well as testing to certify operational training readiness.
