Strategic Response Initiatives, LLC, was awarded the contract to train and equip the first Baghdad, Iraq Fire Department Hazardous Material Team composed of 35 Sunni and Shiite firefighters as Hazardous Materials Technicians. In doing so SRI was responsible for training the first joint Sunni/Shiite HAZMAT team and provided the first operational course in Baghdad's brand new fire academy.All deliverables were completed on time and with exceptional note under wartime conditions. SRI tasked with the following Deliverables as part of this contract:

1. Train all students to HAZMAT Technician Level
2. Ensure all course material was IFSAC Certified
3. Provide all students that pass the course IFSAC Certification - West Virginia University assisted SRI in this task
4. Develop all course material in Arabic as well as English
5. Train all personnel in country in the Green (International) and on the border of the Red Zone
